How I overcame Mistake #3- The Killers
Mistake after Mistake after Mistake…This is what can happen when you go after your goals. This quote leads me to talk about my third mistake and how I overcame it.
Overcoming Mistake #3 – The Full Plan
My third big mistake was allowing myself to become victim to mental homicide. You know those big killers like Procrastination, Doubt, Fear, Etc… If you want the full inside scoop on this mistake, then be sure to check out Mistake #3 – The KillersOvercoming this mistake took some internal motivation. How bad do you want it? This is the question I asked myself and I compared where I was now to where I wanted to be. Where I was now was obviously where I DID NOT want to be, so I had to figure out a way to get where I wanted to be. What I needed at this point was a plan. I had many goals, but a plan is what I needed to actually accomplish them. Step 2: Join or Develop a REAL Support Team!
The next thing that I did was join a mastermind underneath my mentor. Surrounding yourself with like minded individuals is crucial to your success in any business. This is something I can guarantee you.How?Well, if you think about the opposite… Hanging around the wrong type of people can actually hold you back and leave you feeling all stressed, depressed, and in a worse position than you might have started.As my mentor would say, “You end up Busted, Disgusted, and Can’t Be Trusted!”I felt like that is where I used to be and if you feel that way, then understand that it doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t have to hang around people that don’t support you and your goals.Therefore, it only makes sense that by hanging with the right people, they can help you move foward, motivate and inspire you, and put you in a better position than you might have started.Sure you need to actually take action on your own, but having that support makes it even more achievable.This has helped me personally take my business to a new level and I was honored to actually bring some of the subscribers/investors on my list into the group with me. It’s been over a year now, and I’m still here and more people have come on board. We all come from different age groups and backgrounds.Some people have come into this group with 0 deals and have only been in the game for a few months. Some have come into this group with many deals under their belt and they’ve been in the game for 10+ years. You might wonder why someone with over 10 years of experience would join a mastermind, but I can guarantee you that it is common. It’s not about where you’ve been, it’s about where you’re going.
