Should We Continue Marketing Through The Holidays or STOP Now?
When researching real estate information online, it can get a bit confusing when you run into somewhat “contradicting” information. This can cause a new investor to get overwhelmed and essentially they’ll hesitate and become…STUCK! I just read two interesting blog posts the other week. One said to Stop Marketing Now because of the holidays, while the other offered Holiday Marketing Tips. So which advice should you follow? The only way to get “unstuck” from a situation like this is to gain an understanding of both sides, pick your side, and roll with the punches. So that’s exactly what I did this past weekend. I posted another guest blog post on the BiggerPockets.com blog, that I’d like you to check out as soon as possible.
In this blog post I look at both blogger’s viewpoints regarding “Holiday Marketing” and I choose the one I feel is most suitable in spite of the holiday season. I go into detail on why I take that position as well. With that said, there is one thing that I and these 2 other bloggers can all agree on and it is absolutely crucial that you do this before December 31st, 2009.
Wondering what it is? Well, head over to the bigger pockets blog right now and find out today.

Ps. Not doing this one crucial task can cause your 2010 competition to literally leave you in the dust. Don’t make the mistake on missing the deadline. Will You Stop Marketing for the Holidays or Keep On Marketing?

Lamar,
I would continue to market through out the holidays. I have a personality such that I always need to ‘keep on going’. As a result, I would get too bored if I stopped my marketing.
Best Regards,
Neil.

Agreed, I think holidays require additional attention and perhaps some customizing to address the particular trends during holiday seasons. However yes, its a perfect time to re-kindle relationships with existing customers, send a simple holiday reminder (cards, letters, holiday greetings email) letting them know your there and if they need your services during the holiday season your there.

I get some great feedback from holiday greeting emails, so you’re defintely right about that. Thanks for commenting
